The Still Going Strong Foundation is a grassroots charity I’ve created to support older adults who are being quietly forgotten by society. It’s built on one belief: just because someone’s getting older, doesn’t mean they should lose their independence, confidence, or connection to others.
The foundation exists to create spaces where older people can stay strong in every sense of the word — physically, emotionally, and socially.
Through weekly Still Going Strong & Sociable sessions, I'm trying me absolute best to help people stay steady on their feet, confident in their bodies, and plugged into a real community - because loneliness and isolation are some of the the biggest killers of all.
Each class is split into two parts — 30 minutes of functional movement, followed by 30 minutes of social time. The exercise helps people stay mobile, independent, and strong enough to handle real-life challenges like getting up off the floor or climbing stairs. The social half is just as important — a space for connection, laughter, and conversation over tea and biscuits. Together, they support both body and soul.
This is more than just a class — it’s a mission.
The Still Going Strong Foundation brings movement, connection, and purpose back into the lives of older adults who’ve been left behind. Through weekly functional fitness sessions paired with real social time (think tea, biscuits, belly laughs, and birthday singalongs), we’re helping people stay confident on their feet and connected in their hearts.
It’s not about perfect squats — it’s about helping someone get up off the floor, walk to the shops, or simply feel like they belong again. We're here to fight isolation, frailty, and the quiet sadness that comes from being overlooked — one class, one conversation, one comeback at a time
